Abide TV Privacy Policy

1. What Abide TV is

Abide TV is an Android TV app made by Abide Media Group, an Australian software studio. It is a screen player for the Abide Media digital signage platform: you install it on a TV or media player, pair it with your Abide account, and it displays the content you assign to that screen. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what happens to it.

2. What the app collects

The app collects the minimum it needs to work:

• An anonymous device identifier.Created randomly on first launch so our platform can tell one screen from another. It isn't derived from you, your account, or the device's hardware identifiers, and it can't identify you.
• Technical status. The app version, available storage headroom, and the time the screen was last seen online. This is sent to our systems so your dashboard can show whether a screen is healthy and up to date.

That's it. The app collects no personal information, no location data, no advertising identifiers, and does no tracking or profiling of any kind.

3. Media content on the device

The images and videos you assign to a screen are downloaded to the device solely so they can be displayed, including when the connection drops. They are your content, they stay on the device for playback only, and they are removed when no longer assigned.

4. Where data is stored

The device record and its technical status are stored in our Supabase infrastructure, which we use to run the Abide Media platform. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

5. Who we share data with

No one. We don't sell, rent, trade or share the data the app collects with any third party. It is used only to operate the signage service.

6. Deleting your data

There are three ways to remove a device's data:

• Remove the screen from your Abide dashboard. This deletes or orphans the device record on our systems.
• Clear the app's data on the device (or uninstall it). This removes the identifier and any downloaded content from the device, and the orphaned record is no longer linked to anything.
• Email us. For full deletion of any remaining record, email hello@abidemediagroup.com.auand we'll take care of it.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change how the app handles data, we'll update this page and its effective date. The current version will always live at this address.
